To celebrate Star Wars day, we studied the music and instruments that make up the iconic soundtrack. Violins, kettle drums, trombones and harps make up the orchestra used by John Williams, each setting their own unique mood.

Today we participated in the ‘Hour of Code’, a national push to get kids of all ages to try their hand at computer programming. Here is Hazel trying to learn some loops!
Today we started watching “Inside Out” in small 10 minute doses. I think the movie is really smart and has a lot to say about how we form our memories and control our emotions. Kindergarteners experience major life changes all the time and I think emotional intelligence is an important subject to explore and talk about.
