Yesterday we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by reading some of his books and drawing characters!
Stone Soup was a success! Most of the students enjoyed their soup with only a few asking for a different option. Thank you to everyone for contributing!
We’re reading Fantastic Mr. Fox right now, and it’s a easy, short and wonderful read by Roald Dahl. It was turned into a stop motion movie by Wes Anderson and I think it’s the best adaptation of a Roald Dahl movie ever. You could finish the book in only a few nights, give it a read!
The authors and illustrators in K-D completed their first classroom book today! This book will be added to our classroom library.
The students had a wonderful time reading pumpkin stories and participating in pumpkin math games with Aubry’s grandma, Linda. Linda was very theatrical and the students thoroughly enjoyed her! Thank you, Linda!
Today we created art pieces based off of adjectives! Smelly looked smelly, beautiful looked beautiful and so on.
We created acrostic poems using a gigantic list of adjectives for the kids to pull from. I think they came out great!
