Today, we learned about line in art. We talked about creating a variety of lines. Our line art pieces will be completed next week!
Today we tried our hand at self portraits, check out Leila’s!
After reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, the students made handprints with a heart kiss to show their parents how brave they were on the first day of school and remind them of how much they are loved!
Today we started studying Monet. A French impressionist, he was responsible for over 2,500 pieces of art. We are trying to recreate some of his pieces with nature reflected in water, so wish us luck!
Today we studied facial proportions for some self portraits. Look for these to come home in the next few days.
Today we read the story It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles G. Shaw. The story is about all of the different things that clouds can look like. The students created their own clouds after the story!
